Travis Ralls, Austin Marsh (my roommate), and I attended the student government meeting on December 3 at 9:30 p.m. in Deitzman 102. When the members of the senate first started the meeting, they opened with a word of prayer. (I think that is awesome!) They then went over their last meeting's minutes. After minutes, they discussed interterm and what will be going on during that time. Then they debated the constitutions, which included the possibility of introducing a drama club, Greek Life, and hiring a Joy Hall letterman. Next, they provided student leadership opportunities; and finally, they went over updates and allowed audience members to submit proposals. I didn't mind going to the event, but then again; this isn't something I would necessarily make a point to go to by myself. It seemed to be a little bit too much sitting down for one time for me.
